About Me
I’ve spent most of my life in the music industry. I have produced records. I have written music for advertising and media. I have toured the world in a rock band. I’ve co-created and hosted a political talk show.
That sounds like fun, and it is. But, what all of that represents is working hard and collaborating with talented folks to create something meaningful.
Now I’m applying that same work ethic, team leadership, and relentless creativity to human-centered design. I’m motivated by curiosity. Problem-solving and ideation come naturally to me. Bringing out the very best in my teammates is my bread and butter. Designing products and experiences with the end-user in mind is fascinating and fulfilling work.
I was born and raised in a town smaller than your hometown: Cashmere WA. I understand the importance of community and the comfort of family close by. My dad is an artist. He and my mom made pottery in our garage. We would travel to craft fairs most weekends during the summers. The biggest seller was the hand-thrown mug. My dad would always tell me that the handle had to be just right. It had to be the right size and angle in relation to the mug and feel good in the hand. People need to be comfortable holding their hot coffee.
Wait, is my dad a UX designer?
